What is Global Youth Service Day?

Established in 1988, Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) celebrates and mobilizes the millions of young people who improve their communities through service. GYSD is the largest service event in the world and the only one dedicated to the contributions that children and youth make 365 days of the year.

What is the GYSD Run?

Starting and finishing at Hornet Stadium, the Global Youth Service Day Run includes a family-friendly 5K run/walk.

All proceeds support Thirst Project.

What is the Thirst Project?

The Thirst Project travels the country to middle schools, high schools and college campuses speaking people our age to educate students about the global water crisis, and challenge them to take action to end it. In just seven years, we’ve raised over $8 Million and funded projects to provide over 280,000 people with safe, clean water! We can no longer ignore the #1 global killer of children. Our goal is to provide safe, clean water and sanitation to the entire nation of Swaziland by 2022. With your help, we believe we can do this. With your help, we can give water. With your help, we can give life.
